1. How are you preparing for the upcoming fall/winter season?
We don't really have much going on during the winter months in New Mexico. Weather is usually pretty decent all year. It gets cold but not crazy. We usually offer steep discounts to customers looking to have big installs done mid season if they agree to wait until November - February.
2. How do you shift your marketing focus for the winter months?
My marketing stays the same all season. I don't really have to do much marketing because I've been around for so long my phone rings off the hook pretty much all year.
3. How has Topline Pro helped keep your business running smoothly?
Topline has made the website user friendly and having the app makes it really easy to connect with customers, request reviews and and post to social media.
4. What advice would you give other landscapers or business owners for this time of year?
Find what works for your specific business and skill set. If you're good at installs do that, if you're good at maintenance do that.
Winters can be rough for landscaping especially in areas that have harsh winters so you have to find things people need during that time to fulfill those needs and be competitive with other companies prices
5. Is there anything unique about your approach that keeps you memorable to customers?
I'm kind of a wild, outgoing guy that can relate with most of my customers and that makes it easy to connect with customers and that also helps sell services to them at the same time. Just remember to be relatable and know your limits and when it's time to walk away and when it's time to sell those products and make that money.
